South Sea Conch Shell and Shell Mala/Prayer Beads

Sorry, this item has sold.

108 South Sea Conch Shell 8mm beads, agate guru bead and a carved Kuan Yin shell focal bead.

The conch shell has long been used by Tibetan Buddhists as receptacles for holy water and as an instrument in the performance of religious music. The conch shell's use in Tibetan Buddhism originates with the significance these shells held in India's Vajrayana Buddhism. Beforehand, the conch was a highly significant symbol in ancient Hinduism. In modern Buddhism, the conch shell represents the voice of Buddha. Adherents believe its sound can awaken a person from ignorance.

Typical lengths of the beaded portion of my 108 bead Malas:
6mm: 30"
8mm: 39"
10mm: 48"

Care instructions

Please do not wrap your Mala around your wrist to wear, as this stress can cause your Mala to break or the stringing wire to stretch or break. Store your Mala loosely; never coil it tightly.

If your Mala does break for any reason, I will restring it for free. You will be responsible for shipping and sending $6.25 check or cash for shipping back to you. Please convo me if your Mala should ever need restringing.

As with all jewelry, or anything containing small objects, please keep away from children.
